Happy new year, friends!
While the income from my P2P investments continues tiptoeing around €10 per month, I’ve started to flirt around with the idea of picking stocks and have already made a purchase! Read on and I’ll be explaining shortly
I’ve stopped investing new money in P2P for the time being, but I’ll keep updating the blog with its status
By the 1st of January 2020, my portfolio stands at the value of €1063.67
This means my total income is at €63.67. I could go out and have a decent but lonely night out here in Estonia if I were to cash out now
December income in total was €9.33 (Down from €9.49 of last month)
I’ll break it down by the platforms.
Grupeer happened to be the first platform for me to put money on.
So far the €100.00 I put in it has generated +€8.44 income.
Mintos has been slowing down recently in terms of interest rates and while it definitely saddens me, I believe it’s going to pick up in upcoming months. I’ve put €200.00 in it overall. So far it has generated +€15.22
There’s nothing to be unhappy about the current state with Envestio. Envestio holds the majority of my investments and so far none of the projects has missed any payments. Cash drag not being an issue also brings a smile on my face
There’s a +€5.00 income bonus that comes as a result of registering through my referral code and if you also want to receive €5.00 Bonus on your first deposit + 0.5% cashback on all your investments during the first 270 days you can use this link to register
Crowdestor is not doing bad either. If every project I invested in the platform goes smoothly, I’m looking at an average interest rate of 19.23% which would be a dream for any passive investor
DIY investment with picking stocks? Why tho?
As you might know, the whole point of this blog and investments for me is to become more financially literate and over the past half a year my confidence and knowledge has steadily grown
Because of that, I decided to try my knowledge with picking stocks for investing and see how that works out for me. It’s definitely a step up from P2P investments regarding both risk and reward, as there’s not much protecting me from making mistakes that might cause a severe financial loss
I’ve decided to start slow, just like I did with P2P, or even smaller, just until I get more confident in my abilities
Why buy Tesla stocks ($TSLA) at its all-time high? Am I out of my mind?
But I have really good reasons for choosing to go with Tesla stocks and I’m looking forward to sharing those with you and get some comments. Because of that, my next blog post is going to be solely about why I chose to go with Tesla for my first stock pick
For the foreseeable future, I intend to pick 1 stock every month and invest at least around €100 in it. I also plan to write a blog post every month after the purchase explaining that decision, examining the strengths and weaknesses of the stock
Hope you’ll stick around for the journey 🙂
